A theme in best selling, self-help books over the past decade is the recommendation to face your fears, allow for change and be true to your self purpose. Elizabeth Gilbert's Eat Pray Love encourages women to question their desires and face the unknown in order to find happiness. Eckart Tolle suggests an awakening in order to fullfill your destiny and realize your life purpose. One of my favorite books Broken Open quotes Victor Frankle who says the following:

The last human freedom is to choose one's attitude in any given circumstance. When you exercise this and choose to learn and grow from the weight of the world, you are putting your soul in charge of your life.

In addition to these enlightening yet generalized self-help suggestions, the most popular self-help advice focuses on topics specific to money, health and sex. We are sexual beings who are prone to difficulties throughout life. Both men and women are exposed to sexual problems related to desire, arousal, orgasm and pain during intercourse. Our relationships, intimate connections, and fidelity provide great happiness when they are working. However, when these aspects of our life are troubled, a person can feel lonely, incomplete and/or lost.

If you find yourself questioning life, happiness, or your relationship, therapy can help you explore your path and direction.

"No problem can be solved from the same consciousness that created it." In other words, don't try and solve a problem using the same mixed-up thinking that got you into the mess in the first place ~Albert Einstein.
